FOUNDATIONS with TOMPEKA COARD
Welcome to Foundations! Our goal is to teach fundamental biblical truth that is not
filtered through traditions but comes straight from scriptures. Truths that can help
us build a closer and deeper relationship with ABA YAH! (ABA Means Father)
"On the last day, that great day of the feast, YAHASHAWA (Jesus) stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” - Yochanan (John) 7:37-38
Foundations is birthed from a deep desire to push past the mindset of doing things just because it's how we have always done it! We wanted to get to a place where we allowed ABA YAH to unfold HIS teachings, instructions and standards in a clear understandable way that's not diluted, twisted or considered unimportant. Why? Because knowing scriptures and understanding scriptures are two completely different things. Understanding scripture is how we are able to apply them or walk in them!
"As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O ALAHAYAM (God). My soul thirsts for ALA (God), for the living ALAHAYAM (God)..."- Tehillim (Psalm)42:1-2
Now, we want to share what we have learned along this journey to help you apply and walk according to scriptures as well! We will start with Who Does ABA YAH say we are? This is one of the most important questions that we have to answer in order to build a stronger relationship with ABA YAH! Answering this question will also reveal to us important characteristics of ABA YAH. These characteristics will help us develop a deeper understanding of who ABA YAH is! Knowing who ABA YAH says we are and HIS character should help us talk, think, feel, and position ourselves differently. It helps us to push when we feel stuck when we already know what HE has already said about us. Also, knowing HIS character reminds us not to doubt that we have access to everything HE has promised us! We will look at this in more detail on the Foundations blog page!"
"Strong is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the unrighteous, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the Yarah (teachings, instructions and standards) of YHWH, And in HIS Yarah (teachings, instructions and standards) he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. - Tehillim (Psalm) 1:1-3
